It’s been months since I decided that I was going to figure out a way to get a Canon 10D. Since that time, I haven’t picked up a film based SLR once. I love a good 35mm, so I guess that this was my way of motivating myself to work extra hard to get my Canon.
Well, it’s been months, and I still don’t have my 10D (though I think I may be getting it in a matter of days). Last Saturday, I finally got so frustrated that I caved. I borrowed my dad’s 35mm and went on an all-day photo escapade. I went through eleven rolls of film.
That same day, by the most wonderful of coincidences (after all, isn’t that how most good photography happens?), I ran across a bunch of children playing around a bubble machine. I suppose that I used more than half a roll capturing their balley-hoo (wow, I never thought I’d get to use that word). I’m actually surprised I didn’t use an entire roll or more.
Anyhow, the day was largely overcast, so most of the pictures didn’t come out all that hot. But there were a few of one little girl, and although they are a bit dark, I am pretty delighted with the results.
