My wife and I thought we were going to have to wait until the very last moment - Christmas Eve - to shop for each other. We had depleted our budget on gifts for our friends and family, and I wouldn’t be getting my paycheck until Thursday. Then my bosses - a Jewish couple - surprised me today with a nice Christmas bonus.

I was thinking about being selfish and keeping the whole bonus for myself so that my wife couldn’t get me anything and I could get her something really nice. But that’s hardly the Christmas spirit…uhh…right?
