I’m seriously considering investing in a digital SLR. On my trip to my mom’s, I got to check out my step-dad’s Canon 300d Digital Rebel. I was blown away. I knew I would love a digital SLR, but when I got one in my hands and started using it, I got the fever.

Problem is, after using the camera for an hour or so, I found that it had a few limitations, and if I’m going to invest in such a great tool, I don’t know if I want to do it halfway.

So I’m looking at the 10d, which is the step up from the Digital Rebel. It has many more customizable features, plus it has a metal body, as opposed to the Rebel’s plastic body.

All this has also led me to debate about lenses. I think I want a good ultrawide, like 17-40, and a telephoto, like 70-300mm. But it gets pricey, especially with the lower aperatures, which I think is what I really need.

*sigh*
